Initially these were two separate projects but I wanted to try to build them in the same universe so to speak. This pre-game universe started with our intro video, with the visual theme of "Overgrown Seattle", and carried all the way up to kick-off. Common elements include the forest zoom as well as these circular UI elements that brought to life our 2D style guide elements.
A couple of preliminary looks from preseason. This was 90% there but later on we would incorporate the forest zoom from the Player Headshots and the Opposing Team Intro, shown below. One of the challenges I noticed with these projects in particular was representing an opposing team's colors in our brand. Obviously our blue and green wouldn't do, but setting their intro in the neutral space of the forest worked out really well.
